About
Raised by sailors. Built by sea.
To make performance visible in a way that is honest, clear and useful.
I work from inside teams, on the water and around real daily operations, documenting what actually happens without interrupting the process. I grew up sailing and later moved into photography, design and visual storytelling, and those paths merged into one way of working focused on performance environments.
I have worked across America’s Cup campaigns with American Magic, The Ocean Race and Maiden, including full circumnavigations, with more than 45,000 nautical miles sailed as crew and media. That distance, and the people behind it, shaped the way I read rhythm, pressure, decision-making and detail at sea.
What interests me is not only what happens, but how it happens: the small trim differences, the way a maneuver builds and resolves, and how a crew moves when everything is aligned. I look for images that can be read clearly and revisited later with practical value for teams, partners and communication departments.
During the Volvo Ocean Race period, I followed race operations through stopovers and technical contexts, and later documented the complete VO65 refit process from inside the Boatyard. That work became The Boatyard: Life Behind the Sails, developed as author, photographer and designer.
My process is built on proximity, discretion and speed: staying close without interfering, adapting quickly to changing conditions, and delivering fast under real campaign timing. The goal is always the same: produce visual material that is accurate, useful and consistent over time.
With a background in Electronic Art and Digital Design in Barcelona and RYA Offshore Yachtmaster certification, I work across photography, video and visual direction depending on each project’s communication needs.
How I See It
What matters to me is not only the final image, but the structure behind performance: small trim adjustments, timing under pressure, and the invisible work that keeps a campaign moving.
I document from inside, close enough to read context, but without interfering. That is where visual storytelling becomes useful, not decorative.
Volvo Ocean Race
Volvo Ocean Race was my first full round-the-world campaign cycle from the operational side: stopovers, transitions, technical processes and race-day pressure.
Later, inside the Boatyard phase, I documented the VO65 rebuild process in detail and translated that work into structured visual reports for teams and communication channels.
Maiden · Purpose
On Maiden, the story went beyond sport. I completed a full circumnavigation as crew and media, producing visual material from inside one of the most symbolic all-women offshore projects.
The purpose behind Maiden, linked to girls’ education, gave every stage a deeper meaning. My role was to translate that purpose into images that were honest, human and operationally relevant.
